Shipping policy

1. Overview

When Fashion Was Fashion ships exclusively within the United States. All orders are fulfilled from Southern California. Because every item in our inventory is one-of-a-kind vintage or antique, orders are processed individually with care.

2. Order Processing Time

Orders are processed within 1–3 business days of payment confirmation. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.

You will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information once your order has been handed to the carrier.

3. Carriers & Shipping Methods

We ship via USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Carrier selection is based on package size, weight, destination, and cost efficiency. You will be notified of the carrier and tracking number when your order ships.

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on package dimensions, weight, and delivery address.

4. Estimated Delivery Timeframes

Delivery estimates begin from the date of shipment, not the date of purchase:

•  Standard Shipping: 3–7 business days

•  Expedited Shipping: 2–3 business days (where available)

These are estimates provided by carriers and are not guaranteed. When Fashion Was Fashion is not responsible for carrier delays, weather events, or other circumstances outside our control.

5. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and are non-refundable. Because all items are one-of-a-kind, we do not offer free shipping at this time. Rates are based on actual carrier costs.

6. Local Pickup

Local pickup is available in the Long Beach / Southern California area by prior arrangement. Select “Local Pickup” at checkout or contact us before placing your order to arrange. Pickup must be scheduled — we do not accept walk-ins.

7. Lost or Damaged Packages

Risk of loss passes to you upon carrier pickup. If your package arrives damaged or is lost in transit:

•  Contact us within 48 hours of the delivery date (or expected delivery date for lost packages).

•  Retain all original packaging and take photographs of any damage immediately.

•  We will provide carrier claim documentation to assist you in filing a claim.

We are not responsible for carrier errors, theft after delivery, or packages delivered to an incorrect address provided by the buyer. All sales remain final regardless of carrier outcome.

8. Address Accuracy

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect or incomplete address entered by the buyer. If a package is returned to us due to an undeliverable address, you will be responsible for the cost of reshipping.

9. No Returns

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. We do not accept returns or exchanges. Do not ship items back to us without prior written authorization — unauthorized returns will not be accepted or refunded. See our full Terms of Service for details.

10. Shipping Questions

For questions about an order or shipment, contact us through whenfashionwasfashion.com before placing your order. Post-purchase inquiries regarding shipping are handled on a case-by-case basis but do not alter our all-sales-final policy.
